I studied beauty therapy for two years immediately after leaving school gaining national and international diplomas in facial and bodywork and electrolysis. Since then I have continued to work within the industry as a therapist and tutor keen to broaden and develop my skills in any new techniques and related therapies. Following redundancy from City College Norwich in 2011 after teaching there in part-time full-time and senior lecturer roles I was asked to write educational books learning materials and student resources for different distance-learning colleges and also tutor online for them. This was a new challenge and demonstrates how wide and diverse the beauty industry is for employment and career choices. East Anglian Beauty Training gave me an opportunity to continue to use my skills and knowledge in the teaching role that I love. Working with both complete beginners and advanced-level therapists is indeed a real pleasure. I am an Internal Verifier for City & Guilds and VTCT the largest Awarding Bodies for beauty holistic and related qualifications which keeps me up to date with new developments course contents and standards. This allows me to adapt all EABT qualifications accordingly so students can be reassured the tutoring they receive is industry compliant and fully up-to-date. With a friend and past work colleague I developed Flambéssage a range of massage candles oils and balms that are used in fabulous face and body treatment rituals but can actually be incorporated into any face body and hair treatments to add another dimension.
